Job Description

FT, 80 hr/pp, 1.0 FTE; days, Mon.-Fri., may vary as needed.   

Under the general direction of the Chief Information Officer, the Systems Support Specialist is responsible for providing software and network support, training, and troubleshooting in a networked microcomputer /virtual environment. Provides support on a wide range of applications including Microsoft and Epic. May periodically travel to satellite sites. A person in this position is responsible for maintaining confidentiality in matters relating to patients. As a professional employee, these responsibilities extend through on-call periods. 

Required:  Associate degree in computer science; or sufficient combination of education, training/or work experience to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of information system elements and management, preferably recently and in a Healthcare environment.  3 + years’ experience in IT Desktop Customer support.  3 + years’ experience in Server and application support.  Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Demonstrated understanding of IT security practices.  Exceptionally strong Customer Service skills.  Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously. 

Preferred:  CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+
