Patient Financial Services Manager
FT, exempt, 1.0 FTE; days, Mon.-Fri.
Plans, directs, and supervises the daily operation activities and overall functions of the Revenue Cycle. Provides effective leadership and organization to all aspects of the Revenue Cycle. Effectively manages all aspects of the Revenue Cycle including, but not limited to, scheduling, registration, coding, billing, and collection of the District’s Patient Accounts. Communicates effectively, coordinates, and implements essential processes and procedures relating to other hospital departments and medical services of the community. Assures that regulatory standards and requirements are met relating to all aspects of the Revenue Cycle. Establishes and maintains excellent customer service relations.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a combination of education and the equivalent years’ experience relating to Revenue Cycle operations. AAHAM or HFMA Certification Related to Revenue Cycle. Five (5) years of experience with supervision of staff. Five (5) years increasingly responsible experience in the field of healthcare, and Revenue Cycle in a highly automated environment. Preferred: Accreditation/certification in patient account management. Working knowledge of all operations functions of Revenue Cycle.
