Patient Registrar - Per diem/on call
Per diem/on call; schedule varies as needed.
Interviews incoming patient or representative and enters information required for upcoming appointment. Explains hospital regulations, such as payment of accounts, and schedule of charges, rights and
responsibilities, HIPAA regulations. Confirms and verifies patient insurance and or payor source. Escorts patient or arranges for escort to assigned room.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Bilingual in Spanish. Ability to read, write, and speak English and LEP patient’s language (only English to Spanish) demonstrated by the ability to pass an oral exam administered by ALTA qualified interpreters.
High school diploma or GED.
On-the-job training or formal education from six months to one year.
Preferred: Two to three years medical general office experience.
