Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides clerical assistance to the Utilization Review and Care Transitions team. Prepares and sends notification of admissions to insurance companies, including related clinical packets. Assistance with obtaining inpatient authorizations. Assist in requesting authorizations for swing bed admissions. Logs/tracks swing bed admissions as well as obtaining real time insurance eligibility from appropriate insurances. Assists in completing inpatient and outpatient discharge phone calls. Maintains data bases and/or spreadsheets for quality tracking and performs all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

High School Graduate or GED

Proficient computer skills required

Proficient typing skills required

Expertise in word processing including MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and Database Management

Knowledge of and demonstration of Medical Terminology Preferred

Bilingual preferred

Licensure & Certifications Requirements
