Per diem/on call; schedule varies as needed.  

 Job Summary:

Under the general direction of Laboratory Manager, performs clerical functions, specimen collection, specimen processing, and EKG procedures. Lab Assistant II performs the duties of a Phlebotomists and performs waived testing and Quality Control..

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

High school diploma/GED required.

Completion of a phlebotomy course or an accredited medical assistant course; or

6 months laboratory experience and certification as a Health Care Assistant. 

Training in proper phlebotomy techniques required.

Training and/or experience in clinical laboratory preferred.

Licensure & Certifications Requirements

Requires Washington State DOH Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist credential within 6 months of hire.

Certification in phlebotomy skills preferred

Wage: $18.60 to $28.10
