Job Description

FT, Exempt, 1.0 FTE. 

Job Summary:

Directs activities of the nursing staff for the unit:  Plans and organizes activities in nursing services to ensure patient needs are met in accordance with physician orders and hospital administrative procedures. 

Coordinates activities with other patient care units.  Assists in formulating budget, quality monitoring and policy/procedure development and implementation, meets regulating requirement desirable.  

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Bachelor of Nursing Services degree desirable; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Two years recent management experience required

in an acute care environment; labor/delivery, postpartum, newborn.  Preferred: Three years nursing experience desired for respective oversight department.

Licensure & Certifications Requirements

WA State RN licensure; (BLS required; ACLS, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring within 6 months of hire)
