Job Description

Prosser Memorial Health seeks a board certified or eligible Pulmonologist to launch and provide inpatient and outpatient pulmonology services to the community. Services include treating breathing disorders, severe allergies, and other lung conditions and diseases. We are first and foremost a nonprofit community-focused organization, dedicated to providing excellent healthcare and support services to improve the health of our community. 

Responsibilities:

  • Consulting with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns.
  • Diagnosing and treating conditions, such as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema.
  • Using and interpreting pulmonological exams and tests to aid in the diagnosis of cardiopulmonary diseases and conditions, including CT scans, chest fluoroscopies, ultrasounds, and bronchoscopies.
  • Perform various specialized procedures to acquire samples of the chest wall lining or the lungs, for further analysis.
  • Providing immunizations against preventable cardiopulmonary diseases.
  • Providing support and advice to patients receiving long-term care.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of testing and development of new medications and methods of treatment.
  • Support for the cardiopulmonary department in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Function Testing Intensive Care Unit, and any cardiopulmonary development of new treatments or procedures.
  • Educational support for the cardiopulmonary department staff in pulmonology.
  • Support in development of mechanical ventilation policies and protocols.
  • Leadership and support in the cardiopulmonary Quality Assurance, Safety, and other departmental regulatory compliance programs.

  • Pulmonology services including but not limited to intensive care unit (ICU) inpatient services and general outpatient pulmonology services.
  • EMR: EPIC.
  • 4-day work week.. 
  • No call.
