Job Description

PT w/Benefits, 64 hrs/pp, 0.8 FTE; varies as scheduled. 

Job Summary:

CDI Specialist coordinates and collaborates extensively with the physicians and coding staff to improve quality and completeness of documentation of care provided; facilities modification to clinical documentation through concurrent (pre-bill) interaction; captures clinical severity which is later translated into coded data to support eh level of service rendered to relevant patient populations; and provides education to physicians and members of the patient care team on an ongoing basis.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.

Five years clinical experience in an acute care facility required, which includes advanced clinical expertise and extensive knowledge of complex disease processes with broad clinical experience in an inpatient setting.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and/or Healthcare related field from an accredited educational institution. RN with CCS, RHIT or RHIA certification.

Licensure & Certifications Requirements

Must have current RN WA State licensure. Must have BLS at hire or within 30 days of employment. 

RN with CCS, RHIT or RHIA certification preferred. 

Pay Range: $40.02-$74.04
