RN Emergency Department - FT
Job Description
FT, 72 hrs/pp, .9 FTE; varies as scheduled.
Job Summary:
Performs and coordinates total nursing care for patients and participates in patient and family teaching. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of patients. Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents. Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Acute care experience required within last 2 years.
Critical care experience preferred.
Knowledgeable regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Licensure & Certifications Requirements
Valid license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington.
Must have BLS upon time of hire or within 30 days of employment; ACLS, PALS, and TNCC are required within 6 months of employment.
PALS and/or ENPC required. Must be willing to obtain Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification within one year of employment.
CEN or CCRN preferred.
Pay Range: $40.02-$74.04
