FT, 80 hr/pp, 1.0 FTE; varies as scheduled. 

Job Summary:

Administers Patient Care, flow, and function within the Gastroenterology department. Opens and prepares GI Unit for the day. Admits patient to the unit according to Nursing Standard (AORN, ASPAN, CAPA). Assures all necessary paperwork (ie. H&P and consent) is signed and complete before endoscopic procedure. Prepares the procedure room with appropriate supplies, instruments, and equipment specific to each case

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.

Valid license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Washington.

Current AHA Healthcare Provider training (BCLS)

Previous experience in patient care setting preferred.

Knowledgeable regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.

Licensure & Certifications Requirements

Must have current Washington license as a Registered Nurse. Must have BLS at hire or within 30 days of employment and ACLS, PALS, within 6 months of hire.
