Job Summary:
The Nail Nurse provides clinical foot and nail care to patients in a podiatry setting under established protocols and within scope of licensure. This role supports the podiatrist by performing focused assessments, routine nail care, patient education, documentation, and coordination of care for patients who may be at increased risk for foot complications, including those with diabetes, neuropathy, poor circulation, or limited mobility.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Current WA State RN/LPN/LVN licensure.
Foot care or nail care training/certification required within 3 months of hire.
Knowledge of infection prevention, sterile processing, and safe instrument handling.
Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and patient education skills.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound clinical judgment, and collaborate effectively with providers and staff.
Preferred: Experience in podiatry, wound care, diabetes care, geriatrics, or foot care.
Licensure & Certifications Requirements
Current WA State RN/LPN/LVN licensure.
Foot care or nail care training/certification required within 3 months of hire.
BLS required upon date of hire or within 30 days; ACLS, within six (6) months from date of hire. PALS desired
Pay Range: $41.63-$77.01
