Job Description

FT, exempt, 80 hr/pp, 1.0 FTE; days, Mon.-Fri., may vary as needed.   

Under general direction and supervision of Chief Information Officer, and in collaboration with our department staff, departmental management, and vendors, the Data Analyst is responsible for identifying, designing, recommending, and executing analytical solutions using analytic tools and provide follow-up consultation, to assist in healthcare quality improvement efforts and financial analysis.  Oversee the gathering of business needs and requirements documentation, provide guidance in identifying appropriate data sources, develop and update reporting objects and dashboards, provide analysis, and deliver solutions. Development of and proposals for budgeting purposes.  Assists in administration of legal compliance measures.  Additional duties include supporting training team in identifying and providing training; planning, coordination, and implementation of projects; working with the team(s) dedicated to information systems design, build, testing and training activities; and the phased implementation of new systems.  As a professional and exempt employee, these responsibilities extend though on-call periods with no additional reimbursement.  

Required:  Bachelor's degree in highly quantitative or field or a combination of education and experience may be used to determine the qualifications for the essential job functions.  Minimum 3 years, preferably 5 years of experience in data analysis.  Experience with concepts, practices, procedures and legal mandates within the Healthcare field.  Ability to use extensive experience, judgment, creativity and latitude to plan and accomplish assigned complex goals. 

Preferred:  Experience with SQL integration development and data modeling in Visualization tools such as PowerBI.
